Unfortunately, it seems as if there's a minor flaw with the concept of Facebook's Auto-Playing video features in a world where not everybody has an unlimited mobile plan. Videos that automatically load eat up bandwidth much faster than most people realize. Obviously, Facebook is encouraging people and brands to post and more videos on Facebook, and auto-playing videos can be fun and auto-playing video ads might be very effective. But it's all for naught if people are angry at Facebook and decide that they don't want to pay a large extra monthly data plan bill. If you're an iPhone user, you can disable this when you're not at a Wi-Fi connection by visiting your Phone's settings, scrolling down to Facebook, and for the Auto-play setting choose Wi-Fi only or Off. This might be one feature where Facebook changing the defaults might be a good idea.
