Stats have been released that point out that 50% of all Facebook users play social games and that approximately 40% of all Facebook usage is spent on playing games. Social games and activities could be one of Facebook's best possibilities for future monetization and growth. As they approach their innevitable IPO, it will be interesting to see if they continue enhancing their platform to let game makers have better access to user data to allow new types of social experiences to be developed.
